Less than 5% of the 36,000 licensed physicians in the U.S. are selected to receive a Castle Connolly Top Doctors award, and we are proud to say that Dr. Frank Agullo of Southwest Plastic Surgery is one among this year’s prestigious listing. This special award given by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. is unique in that the doctors chosen are nominated by their peers, rather than by a panel or by the general public. This means that other Plastic Surgeons and doctors have selected Dr. Agullo as one of the top Plastic Surgeons in the United States.

Nominations are done through an online process and open to all board-certified DO’s and MD’s. Each year,thousands of physicians cast their votes for the Castle Connolly Top Doctors of the Year. Then, the honorees are chosen by the physician-led Castle Connolly research team, including the Chief Medical and Research Officer. They base the criteria on several factors, such as medical training, education and academics, hospital appointments, patient satisfaction ratings, and more.
The award also gives patients peace of mind and a resource to lean on when they want to search for one of the Nation’s Top Doctors. Dr. Frank Agullo works out of two offices in the Southwest region.
