Motiva® breast implants are the newest innovation in breast augmentation, giving patients who wish to enhance their curves and balance their body contour the best that implant technology has to offer. FDA approved in the United States and used by plastic surgeons in over 80 countries, Motiva® implants stand out for their revolutionary design and advanced technology.

In this blog, we’ll discuss what sets Motiva® implants apart from other types of implants so you can determine if they’re right for you.

Gorgeous Cleavage

For an implant that gives you the cleavage of your dreams, Motiva® Round Plus fits the bill. These implants retain a uniform shape and firmness whether you’re standing or lying down due to their high cohesivity, low viscosity silicone gel. Motiva® Round Plus implants provide consistent volume and firmness in the upper pole of your breasts, giving you eye-catching cleavage.

Natural-Looking Breasts

Motiva® implants offer the most natural-looking breast shape and movement with the Motiva Ergonomix® and Motiva Ergonomix2®. These anatomical implants perfectly mimic the look and feel of natural breast tissue and give your breasts the innate movement and response to gravity of natural breasts, providing fullness in the lower pole when upright and softening as you lay down. The secret is ProgressiveGel Ultima®, a high cohesivity, low viscosity gel that gives the implants the fluidity of motion exclusive to Motiva Ergonomix® and Ergonomix2® implants.

Wide Variety of Implant Choices

Besides being available in both round and anatomical shapes, Motiva® breast implants come in a broad spectrum of sizes and projections. Implant sizes range from 150cc to 625cc (roughly cup sizes A to DDD), and several projection options are available. Breast implant projection determines how far the implant protrudes from your chest; for example, a low-projection implant lies flatter against your chest, while a high-projection implant gives you a fuller look. Motiva® implants offer four levels of projection: mini (low), demi (medium-low), full (medium-high), and corse (high). You can choose the size and projection that suits you to fully customize your breast enhancement.

Reduced Risk of Complications

One of the most common complications after breast augmentation is capsular contracture, a condition where the scar tissue that forms around the implant tightens and constricts it. The result can be uncomfortable and even painful, and it can cause your breasts to feel hard and look distorted.

Motiva® breast implants offer an advanced SmoothSilk®/SilkSurface® technology, which means that while they are technically considered smooth, they actually have a very subtle texture. Research shows that smooth implants reduce your body’s inflammatory and fibrotic responses, meaning that you’ll have less inflammation, less formation of scar tissue, and, therefore, less risk of capsular contracture. The reduced inflammatory response of the SmoothSilk®/SilkSurface® also lessens the risk of other inflammatory immune complications, including implant malposition, seroma (fluid accumulation), and breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL).

Risk of Rupture and Leakage? Nearly Zero

Two components that set Motiva® breast implants apart from other types are their TrueMonobloc+® and BluSeal+® technologies. In traditional implants, the gel is injected into the silicone shell and then patched. While the patch and seal are strong, there is still a small risk of weakness that could lead to leakage or rupture of the implant. TrueMonobloc+® unifies the gel and shell into a single unit, reducing the chances of rupture. Because TrueMonobloc+® offers greater durability, the implant can be squeezed and manipulated into smaller incisions, which translates to smaller scars.

BluSeal+® technology is yet another layer of defense against leaks and ruptures. BluSeal+® is a barely-there blue-tinted barrier layer that prevents silicone from escaping into your body in the event of a leak or rupture. The blue tint also allows your surgeon to visually confirm that the barrier layer is intact before placing the implant.
